Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal Product! I've been using these products for the last couple of years, since I was introduced to them by my dressage rider boss. I was hesitant at first, but started using it on my own horses when they had the odd graze or cut. Around 3 years ago, two of my horses were involved in a horsebox accident which resulted in one horse needing urgent veterinary care due to a deep wound below the fetlock. To cut a long story short, I used Vetricyn daily on the wound and not once did it get infected (vet reckoned there was a 85-90% chance of infection) and it healed remarkably quickly. I now won't use any other product and recommend Vetricyn to everyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for backyard chicken owners Several years ago, a hen was attacked by an opossum. We cleaned the wounds with Vetericyn because it is so much more gentle than the "blue stuff" that is typically used on animal wounds. I wanted something that wouldn't be harsh on her large open wounds and something that would aid in the healing process. Fast-forward and this product has been a hen-saver multiple times on pecking wounds, abrasions on the combs, a dog with skin allergies, and most recently, a huge gash on the head of one of our hens (yes, the same one who had the run-in with a possum). I recommend this product to every animal owner I know because it is safe, gentle, and best of all--it really works!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't know how we lived without it. Chicken Chick recommended Vetericyn so I bought some. I have used it on chicken combs, minor wounds, scraped legs, etc. for the flock. I have used it on myself when I was cut while working with all the chickens and wire, etc. I have used it on my dogs itchy skin while trying to get an immune system and food problem under control. It was the only thing that brought the dog any relief as we finally corrected the problem with the right food and supplements. We tell all chicken folks to ad this to their chicken/critter first aid kit. We love the stuff. WHERE ARE THE CHICKENS ON YOU LIST OF PETS?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth its weight in gold I am never without this product. When it is safe (temperature wise) I have a bottle at the barn for my horse, and I always have a bottle at home (for the cat and dogs). I have seen it do great things from helping my horse heal from surgery, to helping my dog with hot spots, and everything in between. My horse is in a pen with other horses and that always results in some kind of scrapes here and there. It is great to have around!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing results! When our dog came home from her morning rounds on our Florida farm with a deep puncture wound, I immediately reached for a bottle of Vetericyn Plus All Animal Wound and Skin Care. Within days, the healing power of the Vetericyn spray was evident. The best part was that Lassie didn't mind the treatment application which made the healing process that much better. We have seen similar positive results on cattle and horses with cuts and abrasions. Our farm will never be without this amazing product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pine tree limb This is what my horse looked like one morning when I went to feed. Rushed her to the vet but nothing she could do it had to stay open to drain. 4 shots, and antibiotics from 12 days and keek it washhed out.The first 2 pictures are of the first day. Third picture is what I did everything day after I flushed it out I would spray vetericyn all in the wound the 4th pictureis what it looked like one the 9th day. I believe vetericyn is one reason why it was healing so quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my heifer About 5 years ago when Vetericyn first came out in this area, before there were choices of types of product, I tried the general spray on a heifer that had been attacked by a dog. There was nothing to do except put her down and since I had bottle fed her I asked if I could just try. Her shoulder was torn open exposing muscle down the bone. It was a slow recovery and she never walked normal again, but the wound healed completely and haired over and she was able to complete her job as a cow, to provide nutritious beef meals for a family. It was interesting how Vetericyn seemed to take the pain and inflammation out of the wound! Thankfully I have never had to use it on such a large ordeal since, but I keep it handy!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to wound treatment! I always make sure I have a bottle of Vetericyn on hand. This week I have been using it on two of my critters. I had a couple of my geldings causing trouble and one walked away with a nasty bite on his hip. I also had one of the barn cats get in to a scuttle and had a wound on his shoulder. Guess everyone around the farm is a little grumpy waiting on nice weather to get here. I spray the wounds at feeding time and the animals never seem to mind and they heal in half the time! Hair is already growing back on the gelding after only a few days of use. Love this product!

My dog has second degree burns, vet gave SSD cream to use ~5 days then to switch to vetericyn. I purchased the Plus Skin/Wound Spray and Hydrogel spray. Vet only recommends daily dsg changes, what advice can you give on keeping it moist all day?

Asked by: CD28144
Hello CD28144, We would recommend that you spray our product 3-4 a day and then wrap the area with vet wrap. Our products will bring oxygen to the wound which is needed for healing.

I've been using the Wound spray 3x a day on my Shihtzus rash on his groins and underarm I believe is yeast from flea bites and grasses.  How long before it clears?  It's been 4 days and it's abit lighter pink not as red but still splotchy rash.

Asked by: Dianne
Hello Dianne and thank you for your purchase of our Vetericyn + products. To answer your question, we wouldn't be able to offer you an exact healing time as all animals have different make-ups and for that reason heal differently. We suggest more or less than about two weeks to start seeing results. Also, keep in mind, with yeast or fungus based issues, any bedding should be treated as well with hot water and a chlorine based cleanser.

Can this be used as an eye wash?

Asked by: Grinchyhoo
The instructions state the product can be used near eyes. Do not get this product in your animal's eye. Do not use this product as an eye wash. because it contains sodium hypochlorite, also known as Clorox , bleach, liquid bleach or sodium oxychloride. Since there is bleach in this product, if it ends up getting in your animal's eye, you need to rinse the eye with water or a saline solution. You may have noticed that I am Grinchyhoo, who posted the question in the first place. I posted the question and then did my own research to find the answer. I am posting what I found to help others.
