Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing please rename it WONDERGEL! Horse, dog n chickens!! This cleared and treated Mud fever on my horse and keeps her lymphangitis at bay by treating any cuts or scrapes on her bad legs. It’s just treated an abscess on my dogs inner thigh, I popped the big 50p sized abscess and got the puss out, sprayed with verericyn 4 times a day for 2 days and it’s completely healed up! My chooks well what can I say, it’s treated scaly leg mite, nasty pecks drawing blood on combs and wattles and a nasty under wing injury! I can’t recommend this stuff enough! It’s literally taking care of all my pets in the first aid department! the only problem is running out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always be a bottle of Vetericyn Gel near by! My little road rescue off a busy street is a Shih Tzu that was covered in one huge body-covering mat and 3 horrible super smelly skin conditions. Her intense food and environmental allergies still cause a lot of nasty spots, but Vetericyn Gel helps her find soothing relief and two spray bottles have earned a place of permanent residence on each floor of our home. Any where she is there will always be a bottle of this amazing gel near by. Thank you Vetericyn for making life so much easier for the little gift I found lost that it turned out no one was looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep it on Hand! We don't run out of Vetericyn at our house. First used on a battered rescued rooster that look terrible. Sprayed him all over, once daily. In a matter of weeks he started to grow feathers and ultimately became a beautiful, full-colored game rooster. We never expected that. I now use it daily between the toes of our pitbull who seems very prone to interstitial cysts. Every night I clean between all his toes and spray with Vetericyn. Rarely does he have any problem with this protocol. Basically, if we have a skin problem, this is our go to problem. My husband calls it our "Magic Chicken Sauce."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Product Ever!!!! These are the best products I have ever used!!!! I have been using Vetericyn for years and I love it. Just the other day my daughter's mare Bailey had a puss in her eye with discharge. I sprayed her with Vetericyn and her eye cleared up by the evening. We use it on everything from minor scratches to major injuries with great results each time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must in every tack room Spring of 2014, my mare got caught in a fence and literally peeled the skin down her right fore leg. The vet cleaned it out and told me there was nothing they could do. I was welcome try to treat it as an open wound. My dad told me about Vetericyn so I thought I would give it a try. After 6 weeks I had to cut off the proud flex, and within another couple of weeks it was completely healed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great! I have purchased this several times now and am tired of wasting my money! Don't get me wrong, the product works great, but you waste at least half of the bottle each time. One of my dogs has severe allergies, which includes almost every kind of grass. This leaves her with hot spots and yeast infections on her paws almost all the time. The vetericyn plus keeps the itching to a minimum, however the spray bottles always stop working because they are plugged up. The directions say to shake well, and I do, until my arm hurts sometimes. Doesn't matter if you buy the small pump spray or the larger squeeze handle spray, it always stops working! I have tried soaking the nozzles in hot water, but that doesn't work. Please consider a different type of applicator!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have in my barn and my horse trailer! I like the gel as I feel it stays on a bit better, but I love all the Vetericyn products! I even use it on myself when I get a cut or burn. My filly just slashed her chest last week and after 3 days/3 times per day it was healing perfectly!

How soon after applying the Wound and Skin Care spray, should you apply the Hydrogel Spray? Thanks!

Asked by: Heidi
Depending on the issue being treated. I often flush with the liquid and dab dry then apply the hydrogel. If you don’t dab the area it would be best to wait at least 10 minutes so the hydrogel can adhere. Dr Mindy Melinda J Mayfield DVM, WCSP-AH Vetericyn Technical Services Veterinarian

Can this be used on a horses eye?

Asked by: K000
Hello K000, Vetericyn's wound care products are safe to use around the eyes ears nose and mouth. Depending on the horse, they may not like being sprayed in the eye. Our eye wash is a higher concentration and has a dropper nozzle for ease of application.

our dog has what looks like the beginning of a lick granuloma on his front foot. I love Vetericyn and have it on hand but didn't know how long it would need to stay on the area before being effective. He wants to lick everything right off. Would 30 sec

Asked by: nelle
Hello Nelle, Thank you for reaching out to us! Stopping his licking is key to healing a lick granuloma, unfortunately it is also very difficult to achieve, they just don't listen to us! Applying the Vetericyn to a gauze pad and then bandaging the area for awhile would help the Vetericyn stay on longer and prevent his licking for a bit. A sock, ace bandage or even duck tape can be used. Just be sure not to get it too tight and only leave it on while you are with him. My dogs are allergic to fleas , I got them on front line plus , but they Still have loss of hair and my pittbull has bumps and scabs on her legs and back what would you recommend to help them I do believe that its yeast

Asked by: Marissa13
Hello Marissa13, Thank you for reaching out to us! Vetericyn products will not kill fleas but they can help with the irritation that fleas cause. Vetericyn is appropriate to use on skin irritations, bumps, scabs, crusts and scratches. Depending on the underlying cause the Vetericyn may or may not fix the problem but it will help alleviate some of the discomfort and help clean the skin. i have a dog that has skin and tissue erosion from a throat tumor.  she is currently on clinical trial of naturasone for the tumor.  i have the vetricyn spray that i am currently using on the wound and then neosporin and a drsg.  will the gel work for her

Asked by: susan
Hello Susan, We prefer Vetericyn Plus to be used per label indications. Vetericyn has no known contraindications and no known negative drug interactions. If you need to apply other remedies like fly repellents, we recommend that you apply Vetericyn first, saturating and cleaning the area well and then wait at least 60 seconds before applying any other materials. Before or after treating with Vetericyn, we recommend that you advise your healthcare professional (veterinarian) of any treatment protocol you are following in addition to those recommended by the veterinarian. Vetericyn is not intended for use on systemic conditions.
