Rated 4 out of 5 by from packaging My rating is related to my review. I like the Vetericyn product, but the packaging could use some improving. As a cost conscious horse owner, not all of the liquid gets used before the pump isn't able to spray anymore, and you can't unscrew the cap to pour what's left into the new bottle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my guinea pigs! I cannot thank you enough for this great product. I rescue guinea pigs and they often have wounds and/or ringworm. This changes their skin from scabby and awful to pink and healing. They are popcorning for joy! It also helps our cats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product for the price I have used not only the Vetericyn Plus All Animal Wounds and skin care product on several different animals but also many of their other products. All give excellent results but I am really impressed with the spray on animal wound products. I have used this on some really ugly wounds and it performs beautifully. I highly recommend this product and always keep a bottle on hand for animal emergencies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Faster surgical incision healing I foster many dogs after spay and neuter surgeries -- and other more serious surgeries. With my vet's approval, I spray Vetricyn on surgical incisions to keep them clean and promote healing. We simply do not see infections on incisions sprayed this way! Our anecdotal experience is that the incisions also heal faster and with less itching (as the dogs have less urge to lick the healing area). Our dog rescue's goal is to have a bottle of this in every foster home, though it's a very high cost item for us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All animals I use this product mostly on my chickens. I had a Wyandotte that was attacked by a Hawk and I treated her with this product. I also use it for hens' combs and waddles, over anxious roosters sometimes bite them!I used it on my dog as well and really feel good about this spray. Its easy to use and do not have to worry about getting it in their eyes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many Successful Uses I bought this originally for one of my Banty hens that had been bitten by a dog. I used it daily on her, she healed nicely. Then I used it on my German Shepherd that had scraped her belly on the porch between the rail and steps sliding through to the other side lol thinking she was still a small puppy! Worked wonders!

My four-year-old Yorkie/Mini Schnauzer has food and airborne allergies manifested in bumps around the tail, back of front legs, and under belly. Her biting and scratching drives us both crazy. If it doesn't contain cortizone, how is itching alleviated?

The active ingredient (Hypochlorous acid) has been shown in studies to have anti-inflammatory and anti-puritic (itching) activity. The liquid can also help wash away any allergens on the skin. Dr Mindy Melinda J Mayfield DVM, WCSP-AH Vetericyn Technical Services Veterinarian

What is the expiration dates and does it last longer than the expiration date.

Asked by: jmwiggles
Hello jmwiggles, Our Vetericyn plus products have a 2 year shelf life. After the two years the potency and efficacy does decrease. For best and most effective results we recommend using Vetericyn Plus products within the time frame on the bottle.

W&SC hydrogel feels drying on my hands and I use it to protect my pet rabbit's skin against urine scald (which is gently rinsed as needed). Can I apply coconut oil or other pure barrier after the Vetericyn? Rabbit skin is so sensitive.

Asked by: Sharon4Bunnies
Hello Sharon4Bunnies, We prefer Vetericyn Plus to be used per label indications. Vetericyn has no known contraindications and no known negative drug interactions. If you need to apply other remedies, we recommend that you apply Vetericyn first, saturating and cleaning the area well and then wait at least 60 seconds before applying any other materials.

What is the difference between this and the hydrogel spray?

Asked by: Fefe
Hello FeFe, Vetericyn Plus Hydrogel is designed to adhere to the wound site, providing an extra barrier for wound & skin ailments. It is also great for burns, abrasions and hard to reach locations. In addition, this product is an excellent choice to use with wound dressings.
