Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have for chicken keepers! I have been very lucky with pretty healthy chickens. However, I always keep a bottle of this in my emergency kit and I'm glad I do. I did have to use it when one of my young chickens grew to big for her leg band and it pierced her leg. I just removed the band, used this per the directions and there was no infection and it healed right up.

My chicken has developed a canker. Would this be safe to use, and would it help to clear up the fungal infection?

Asked by: Stewart Chicks
If your chicken has Canker you need to take it to the vet for treatment. They will firstly diagnose it and prescribe Flagyl or Metronidazole (which is the same thing.) Canker can sometimes be present as a secondary infection so it is important to get a vet to diagnosis as chicken may need additional medication for something else. My chicken had Respiratory Infection and Canker so needed Baytril as well. These antibiotics need to be given at different times of the day and not dosed in one go. Your vet will tell you how much to give (per body weight) and for how long.

I bought one with a sprayer called Eye Wash. I thought I was getting wound spray. Will this do the same thing? I have chickens with holes on their combs and backs.

Asked by: ChickenLove
Hello ChickenLove, Thank you for reaching out to us, love the name by the way! Our Eye Wash products should have a drop top on it not a sprayer. They Eye Wash is a slightly stronger formulation then our wound care spray, but still safe to use.
