Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chicken On the Brink of Death We had a laying hen that was attacked thru our fence by one of our dogs, the resultant body wound was quite large and left the skin laying open down to the muscle of the chickens body in the area of her wing. We were going to put her down and then decided to put her in a small coop that we have and for about two weeks we sprayed Vetericyn on the wound twice a day. The chicken recovered fully and is now back to laying eggs. The Vetericyn saved her life and while we've used the Vetericyn products on our horses and dogs, this application was the most traumatic instance that we've used it in and the product just worked wonders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life Saver! My mare, Smoke, got herself tangled in a barbed wire fence last September. It was the week of State Finals! I was distraught I had to take another horse. First we tried iodine and baking powder to heal Smoke's lacerations. It helped, but was not making the progress I was hoping for. We bought this product to see if we could get Smoke legged back up. Sure enough, within one month she was back on her feet and won me a buckle! I will always keep Vetericyn in my trailer now! You have no idea how many times others have had to borrow mine because they weren't prepared! I love this product and would recommend it to anyone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vetericyn Post Surgery - Equine Young ISH who failed to drop near testicle by normal time for castration (autumn of yearling year) so was left for another year as entire to see might the testicle drop naturally. When it again failed to drop surgery was undertaken. A significant incision, circa 25cm, was made along the flank whorl line and the testicle (which was located next to the kidney) was removed through the surgical wound. Then sutured and washed once a day with water and treated twice a day with Vetericyn + Wound & Care Liquid. Before and after pictures above, no proud flesh, no secondary infections, very nice healing despite a need to re sutured once due to animals over exuberance (he burst his stitches which delayed the healing time).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best wound spray ever! Bought this after horse injured herself but we were not sure when she did this so we could not close it up. I only used vetericyn 2-3 times a day. This wound closed up after about 4 weeks. No excess granulation either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We are extremely impressed with the quality of your product and have been using it several times per day. The wound we have been treating has been difficult because it occurred on an area that has scar tissue from an old wound. We saw a great improvement after three days of use and new skin is appearing after six days. We also use the spray daily as a disinfectant on all his legs after bathing them. Thank you for this great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from From Death's Door To A Second Chance T-Rex, my rooster had nutritional deficiencies because of his feed and along with that came an infection causing his leg to become swollen. My husband was ready to have him euthanized because he was in bad shape, but I didnt give up hope! I decided to try Vetericyn on his leg. After his Epsom Salt soaks, I spray his leg and the swelling has continued to go down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really worked My paint horse has 4 white legs and had terrible scratches on his back heels this winter. I had tried several remedies, some recommended by my vet, but they never completely went away. A barn friend said her vet recommended Vetericyn. It worked! I would warn people to be careful because it must sting and my horse would kick out. I really like the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Healing liquid We are finishing our 1st bottle. We use it for our Boxer, she had constant infections in the creases around her eyes and nose. When we apply this faithfully it prevents it from escalating to an infection. We like how easy it is to apply with no worries about getting it in her eyes. Also has no fragrance! Our vet recommended it!

I have a horse with a coronary band laceration on right rear leg. Not sure when it happened I am a Vet Tech so I have been bandaging and cleaning with chlorhex scrub. I bought the Vetericyn plus wound care spray. Is this the best to use or the Gel ?

Asked by: Julie2008
Hello Julie2008, Both are great products. We would recommend saturating the wound with Vetericyn Wound & Skin Care liquid 3-4 times a day and then bandage if needed.

I have a 14 year old mare with scratches.  I started using the wound and skin care product and the results have been amazing.  Just wondering if there is another product in your line that I should be using.  Thanks so much for any information.

Asked by: Sylvia
Hello Sylvia, Thank you so much for trusting our product on your mare. We are thrilled that you've had great results! We would recommend our eye care line of products as well as our gel is also really popular with our horse owners. Be sure to let us know what you think!
