Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I am very particular with what I use on my dog because he has so many reactions and allergies to products. I found this company at the global pet expo this week and went home with a foaming medicated shampoo. Not only was it easier to use because it's not a mess and it doesn't take forever to wash out but my dogs coat is so silky smooth. I am so happy I tried this shampoo. I will definitely be continuing to use this shampoo and will try other products from the company. Thank you!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I purchased this foaming medicated shampoo for my Golden Retreiver who has allergies and lick granuloma issues. The shampoo really works great and his coat is beautiful. It rinses out very easily and seems to have softened up the skin on his lick granuloma wound. Its a great product, and i highly recommend it.

My dog itches all the time. Before we got her the owner bathed her constantly and I believe damaged her skin. We have tried different foods thinking it may be an allergy but that didn't help. Which product would be best to help with the chronic itching?

Asked by: ABBY
Awww poor thing... We would definitely recommend our FoamCare Medicated Shampoo. It should help to restore your dogs PH level. If wounds have occurred due to continuous scratching we would recommend one of our Wound and Skin Care products. The shampoo and the Wound and Skin Care product can be used together. If you have any further questions we are always happy to help! Please feel free to call us at 866.318.3116.

My APBT has sever skin issues, I recently purchased the medicated shampoo and gave him his first bath.I was wondering how often should I bathe him? He has dry skin and a huge bald spot the starts at his shoulders to his tail.

Asked by: Angusmomma
Hello Angusmomma and thank you for your email and your purchase of our FoamCare line. Our FoamCare contains no harsh chemicals and therefore can be used as often as desired to treat your APBT's skin issues. We would also suggest incorporating the use of our Vetericyn Wound & Skin care as well to aid in wound management. You would first bathe your pet and then follow up with the Vetericyn to further spead up wound healing.

Hi!  I have two dogs, one of which would benefit more by the medicated formula, and the other doesn't have any skin issues. Would it hurt to use the medicated formula on my dog without the skin issues?  Thanks

Asked by: Faithful user
Hello and thank you for your purchase of our Vetericyn Foamcare line! To answer your question, no harm will come in the use of the medicated Foamcare on your dog that does not have skin issues. The medicated formula is used to aid in the treatment in various dermatological conditions but is not harmful if your dog does not suffer from these conditions it will just act as a cleanser with medication.

I have a pregnant alpaca (third trimester) with large leathery skin areas from mite damage. Mites are gone. Which shampoo would you recommend? And, is there anything I can spray on a couple of times a week to moisturize the skin?

Asked by: Marylin

Can this be used to kill staph? My dog had a bite that got staph infection it's healed now but his coat did get blood & infected fluid on it from when the wounds opened. Now that he's better I need to bathe him & re-sterilize my house.

Asked by: Baby shi
Hello Baby shi, The Foam Care shampoo is not formulated to kill staph. It will help to clean the area and soothe the skin but as for killing any remaining bacteria it would only be from mechanical action not actually a medication effect.
